Saturday, August 25 - Depart Missouri bright and early this morning preparing for a great Wisconsin vacation.  With rest stops & lunch (on your own) enroute, we will arrive in Appleton, Wisconsin, where we will overnight at the Comfort Suites.  Dinner tonight is included at the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant.    (D)
Sunday, August 26 - This morning we will travel to Door County where we will pick up a local guide who will inform us of the history and answer all our questions (with maybe even a joke or two) over the next two days.  Drive past the Old Rugged Cross - A marker attached to this wooden cross tells that the words to the hymn “The Old Rugged Cross” were written at this church over a hundred years ago. Then out to the Sturgeon Bay Shipping Canal, stop right by the Canal & visit Grandma Tommy's Farm Market and Parallel 44 Winery.  The winery will set up 3 wines for our group to sample and give a short history on the winery. Then we will drive past the orchards and shipyard.  Lunch on our own and free time in Sturgeon Bay.  Mid-afternoon, we’ll check in at The Bridgeport Waterfront Resort, “home” for the next two nights.  This evening we will enjoy an included Cookout Dinner at the Hotel.   (B/D)
Monday, August 27 - Today we will continue our guided tour of Door County with a drive to scenic Cave Point County Park where we will hear about the underwater caves that were formed over thousands of years from the surf pounding against the limestone bluffs, Bjorklunden Chapel - a small wooden chapel built in a late 12th-century Norwegian stave church style, Koepsels Farm Market - the oldest farm market in Door County featuring  homemade jams, jellies and canned goods.  We will enjoy an included lunch at Al Johnson’s.  Al Johnson’s is an authentic Swedish family owned restaurant where you can find goats grazing the sod roof.  It's quite a sight, and it's made this place one of the most famous restaurants in Door County. Next, we will tour the Eagle Bluff Lighthouse. The 1868 lighthouse still guides vessels through the narrow Strawberry Channel.  Next we will enjoy some free time in Fish Creek.  Fish Creek embraces a heritage that began with humble farmers, lumberjacks and fisherman where you’ll see the rich history in the architecture, tree-lined streets and throughout the friendly and walkable community.  Return to our Hotel for a free evening.   (B/L)
Tuesday, August 28 - This morning we will enjoy The Chicago Fireboat Cruise. Cruise through the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal or to the Sherwood Point Lighthouse (weather permitting).  After lunch on your own, we arrive and check into our hotel for the night, the Best Western Executive Inn in Kenosha, WI.  Dinner is included at Cracker Barrel.    (B/D)
Wednesday, August 29 - After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll board our deluxe Mid-American Motorcoach for a relaxing ride back home.   (B)
