Located in Sam Walton’s original Bentonville variety store, traces the original and growth of Walmart Stores. First opened in 1990, the Walmart Museum carries on the mission it always has; to educate, engage, and inspire visitors about the heritage of Walmart. Next, we will tour the Museum of Native American History.  The Museum of Native American History invites you to "Walk Through America's Past," where we will  see a glimpse into what life was like for America's first inhabitants.  The museum is divided into five different time periods that will guide you through the constant changing lives of the Native Americans, as seen through their artifacts . The displays feature relics that date from over 14,000 years old to historic times.  Our Hotel for the next two night is the Comfort Suites Bentonville.  Dinner tonight is included at Fred’s Hickory Inn.    (D)
Wednesday, June 13 - This morning we will pick up a local guide who will take us on a Backyard Billionaires Tour. Enjoy driving by the area Fortune 500 companies who helped form the success of the area.  There is history with how so many contributed to the success of Northwest Arkansas.  After lunch on our own we will visit Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Named after the nearby Crystal Springs and the bridge that crosses over it, this beautiful museum is set in the lush forest and provides a peaceful retreat as you enjoy outstanding artwork. Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art houses American artwork from throughout America's history, including modern art and artwork from the Colonial era. Along with a permanent collection, the museum will have temporary exhibits, ensuring that you'll see something new every time you visit. Dinner this evening is included at Whole Hog Cafe, before returning again to spend a few more hours at Crystal Bridges Museum.   (B/D)
Thursday, June 14 - Today we depart and continue our trip to Eureka Springs, AR, where we will visit Thorncrown Chapel. The Thorncrown Chapel was built in 1980 & follows the Praire School of architecture. The striking glass-covered structure is touted as one of the most beautiful churches in America. With over 6,000 square feet of glass and 425 glass windows, the chapel gives the impression of an open-air structure while still enjoying the comforts of air conditioning.  A popular wedding destination, several admirers from all over the world have tied the knot here. In 2000, Thorncrown Chapel was incorporated in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.  This afternoon will will enjoy a Guided Tram Tour of Eureka Springs, AR. Travel through the narrow, winding streets of Eureka Springs Historic District onboard the tram and see and learn about many of the beautiful old homes and buildings, as well as fun and interesting facts and stories about this amazing town that Robert Ripley of Ripley's Believe it or Not, called one of the 10 most unusual cities he every visited in the USA. After checking into our hotel for the next two nights, the Best Western Eureka Springs, we depart for Castle Rogues Manor for a Tour & Dinner.  The Castle was designed & built over 20 years by Smith Treuer, whose worldwide travels, love of art, history and fantasy of the renaisance eras each sparked his creative genius to build a monument dedicated to craftsmanship, architecture and family. After our tour we will enjoy “King Treuer’s Feast”.     (B/D)
